Plant Baby™ is the one baby shampoo where all of the ingredients have #1 ratings according to the Environmental Working Group (EWG) Skin Deep safety analysis. This is important as a baby’s skin is extraordinarily sensitive and is not happy being introduced to human-made chemicals at an early age. Popular “natural” baby shampoos employ essential oils, quaternary ammonium film formers, parfum, polyethylene glycols (PEGs) foam boosters, sodium hydroxide, mineral oil, phenoxyethanol, and more. Foam, fragrance, and silkiness are a sensory marketing strategy that employ chemicals in order to please the mother. Our 100 percent plant ingredient shampoo is formulated to please the baby. It is extremely mild. Problems with a baby’s scalp can be caused the baby shampoo itself. Surfactants and other ingredients are too strong and strip the baby’s skin oil and microbiome.
